About the Club
The Marine Park Ladies Club was established by Peggy Frontera and Kelley Brooke in 2009. The club originated, however, years earlier as a beginner golf club based out of a local Par 3 course. As the ladies progressed, the
co- founders decided to move the club to a full length golf course. Each week members play nine holes with drinks and dinner afterwards. Although members generally play from the red tees, beginner golfers are encouraged to play from the 150 yard markers.
The league play starts May 2nd this year, with a pre-season meeting on April 25th at 6pm at Marine Park GC. The club is primarily social in nature, not seriously competitive. Scores are turned in each night and stats are kept for the end of the year awards dinner, but socialization is the primary focus of the club.
Beginners are welcome to join the club. It is strongly suggested that they enroll in the pre-season April clinics and possibly even continue for the first couple of weeks of the season.
The end of the year dinner will is arguably the most fun night of the year. Wear your dancing shoes.
